Job summary

Netstar is expanding its Broker Distribution channel and seeks a Broker Sales Consultant to turn commercial insurance brokers, intermediaries and financial advisors into active product advocates. This field role focuses on building, activating and expanding third‑party distribution in Durban.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of verified sales consulting or business development experience within the short-term insurance, broker distribution, telematics, or financial services environment.
• Established network of commercial short-term brokers and a solid understanding of commercial lines underwriting, risk management, and policy structures.
• A valid South African driver’s license and own vehicle for daily travel to broker offices and client sites.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and relationship-management skills to influence broker principals and line consultants alike.
• A proactive self-starter who runs their territory like their own business with grit, accountability, and strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit, and onboard new commercial insurance brokerages, corporate advisors, and underwriting managers across the territory.
• Maintain regular, high-impact presence with broker principals, commercial lines consultants, and account executives.
• Conduct compelling product training, lunch-and-learns, and presentations on fleet tracking and connected-vehicle solutions.
• Co-sell with broker consultants on joint client visits to mid-to-large fleet prospects.
• Consistently achieve broker-originated quote requests, activation quotas, and net-new revenue targets.
