Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a vigilant NOC Analyst in Soweto to monitor the company’s telecoms network, respond to alerts, and ensure service continuity. You will work to keep networks stable, diagnose incidents, and document steps taken to resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 1–2 years in a NOC or telecoms operations role, a basic grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and good communication skills for effective collaboration with engineers and support teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; networking cert is a plus.
• 1–2 years in a NOC or telecoms operations role.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor network performance and system health using NOC tools.
• Diagnose, diagnose? (note: will adjust)
• Diagnose and resolve network incidents and alerts promptly.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers as needed.
• Document events, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
• Follow incident management procedures and change control.
• Assist in minor network changes and configurations.
