About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, test, and commission telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, radios, and antennas. Perform routine maintenance and preventative checks on network infrastructure. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to network connectivity, voice quality, and data transmission. Respond to service calls and emergency dispatches to ensure timely issue resolution. Adhere to safety regulations and company policies while performing field service duties. Maintain accurate service reports, logs, and inventory of equipment and parts. Provide technical support and guidance to customers on equipment usage and basic troubleshooting. Collaborate with internal support teams to elevate and resolve complex technical problems. Manage a company vehicle and tools effectively for daily operations. Stay updated with new technologies and service procedures through ongoing training.

Requirements

National Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a telecommunications field service role. Hands‑on experience with installation and troubleshooting of various telecom hardware. Knowledge of networking concepts, TCP/IP, and common communication protocols. Familiarity with wireless technologies, cellular networks, or fiber optics is an advantage. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel within the assigned service area.
