Placements24 is seeking a Telecommunications Sales Engineer for Upington, Northern Cape, in a hybrid role. You will bridge technical know-how and sales, delivering demonstrations, crafting proposals, and supporting the sales team with telecom solutions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in a technical field, 3+ years in pre-sales or solutions architecture in telecoms, and strong presentation and communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical audiences. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in technical pre-sales or solutions architecture in telecoms.
• Solid understanding of telecom networks, VoIP, data, wireless, fiber.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel and engage with clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to the sales team during the sales cycle.
• Translate customer requirements into technical telecom solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations, presentations and workshops.
• Develop detailed technical proposals and RFP responses.
• Act as SME on telecom technologies and solutions.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering for feedback.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
• Stay updated on industry trends and competitors.
• Assist in troubleshooting during pre-sales activities.
• Contribute to development of sales tools and collateral.
