About the Role

Our client, a prominent provider of telecommunications solutions, is seeking a motivated and technically adept Telecommunications Sales Engineer to join their team in Upington, Northern Cape . This role bridges the gap between technical expertise and sales, focusing on understanding client needs and proposing effective telecommunications solutions. You will work closely with the sales team to provide technical pre-sales support, conduct product demonstrations, and develop customized proposals. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, a thorough understanding of telecommunications products and services, and a passion for client engagement. This position requires a Hybrid work arrangement, involving both office presence and remote engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team throughout the sales cycle.
• Understand customer business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using company products and services.
• Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical workshops for prospective clients.
• Develop detailed technical proposals and response documentation for RFPs/RFIs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical pre-sales, sales engineering, or solutions architect role, preferably within the telecoms industry.
• Solid understanding of telecommunications networks, technologies (e.g., VoIP, data networking, wireless, fiber optics), and services.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
