Placements24 is seeking an experienced Telecom Operations Manager to oversee network operations and service delivery from Mossel Bay. You will lead a team of engineers/technicians, manage budgets, and ensure reliable connectivity for customers in the Western Cape.

The role supports a hybrid work model with on-site and remote flexibility. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in telecom operations management, strong leadership, and a solid grasp of network infrastructure and service management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in telecom operations management or a related leadership role.
• Proven ability to manage technical teams and complex operational environments.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, services, and OSS/BSS.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of network engineers and technicians to achieve operational excellence.
• Oversee daily telecom network operations, including monitoring, incident management, and problem resolution.
• Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices for reliability and performance.
• Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to optimize costs and service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the operations team to enhance efficiency and service quality.

About the Role

This critical role involves managing a team of technical staff, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of telecommunications infrastructure, and upholding high standards of service quality. You will be responsible for operational planning, resource allocation, and performance monitoring, playing a key role in maintaining reliable connectivity for customers in the Western Cape . The hybrid model allows for effective team leadership with both on-site presence and remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities
