Placements24 is seeking a meticulous and proactive Remote Telecom Network Administrator to manage and maintain a robust network infrastructure for nationwide operations in South Africa.

The role is fully remote, offering the ability to configure routers, switches, firewalls, monitor performance, enforce security, perform backups, and provide user support across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on telecommunications networks.
• Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network hardware configuration.
• Experience with network security tools and best practices, including VPNs and intrusion detection systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain all aspects of the telecom network infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
