Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Telecom Network Operations Manager in Port Elizabeth to lead the NOC and ensure network performance and reliability. You will oversee monitoring, incident response, and proactive maintenance to minimize outages, while shaping efficient processes and budgets.

You’ll manage a blended team across on-site and remote operations, collaborate with vendors, and drive security and continuous improvement initiatives in the Eastern Cape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in telecommunications network operations, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Experience with network monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and incident management processes.
• Strong understanding of core telecommunications technologies, including IP networking and transmission systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage effectively in a hybrid work model, overseeing both on-site and remote teams.
