Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician for on-site telecommunications support in Welkom. You will install, configure, and maintain equipment at customer sites, troubleshoot service issues, and perform routine maintenance to ensure reliable networks.

The candidate should have proven field service experience, strong broadband and IP networking knowledge, and excellent communication skills. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required for travel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of broadband technologies (DSL, Cable, Fiber) and IP networking.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications equipment at customer sites, including broadband modems, routers, and VoIP systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to internet, phone, and television services.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and upgrades on network infrastructure.
• Provide excellent customer service and explain technical issues clearly.
• Ensure all service calls are completed and documented in the company system.
