Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Telecom Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment at customer sites in Pretoria. You will ensure network reliability, perform on-site support, and maintain service records. A safety-conscious, customer-focused professional is ideal for this field-based role.

You will travel to multiple sites, use diagnostic tools, and collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality service and certification when required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; technical certification preferred in telecommunications/electronics.
• Proven field service experience within telecoms.
• Proficient with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment and test meters.
• Valid driver’s license for site travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission telecom equipment including routers and cabling.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative checks on network infrastructure.
• Diagnose and repair faults; escalate complex issues.
• Provide on-site technical support and respond to service calls.
