Placements24 is seeking a proactive Field Telecoms Engineer to support the Welkom, Free State region. You will install, maintain and repair telecommunications equipment at client sites, ensuring reliable network services and minimal downtime.

The role requires hands-on technical ability, strong diagnostics, and excellent customer service with on-site support. A valid driver's license is essential for travel between customer locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Field Engineer in telecoms.
• Strong networking, VoIP and cellular infra knowledge.
• Driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission telecom hardware at customer locations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot network and voice systems.
• Perform routine maintenance to prevent service disruptions.
• Respond to service calls and urgent dispatches.
• Provide basic user training and on-site support.
