Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a hands-on Field Telecom Technician to serve the Welkom region. You will install, maintain and repair telecommunications systems on-site at client locations, ensuring quality and performance.

The ideal candidate has practical problem-solving skills, strong work ethic, and the ability to travel between sites while delivering excellent customer service and clear technical guidance. Travel is a requirement, and you will be supported by a company vehicle and training

Qualifications

• Experience in hands-on telecom field service.
• Ability to install and troubleshoot telecom hardware.
• Understanding of basic networking concepts.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test telecom equipment at customer premises.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostic checks on existing installations.
• Troubleshoot and repair network hardware and connectivity issues.
• Provide on-site technical support and guidance to customers.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures in the field.
• Manage service inventory and complete accurate service reports for each job.
