Placements24 is seeking a diligent Field Service Technician to join their Installation & Maintenance team in Upington, Northern Cape. You will install, service, repair, and maintain equipment at client sites, ensuring optimal performance.

A hands-on, autonomous approach and strong safety awareness are essential for delivering reliable service and customer satisfaction. The role requires technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and willingness to travel within the region.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar technical role.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Northern Cape.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and set up new equipment according to technical specifications.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues on-site.
• Respond to service calls efficiently and effectively, resolving issues in a timely manner.
