Placements24 seeks a Field Telecom Technician to join our operations team in George. You will install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment and infrastructure at customer sites across the Western Cape, ensuring seamless connectivity and service quality.

This hands-on role requires strong technical aptitude, a customer-focused approach, and willingness to travel. You will work outdoors, perform diagnostics, document work, and uphold safety standards while delivering reliable telecom

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in telecommunications or electronics is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Telecom Technician or in a similar field service role.
• Ability to travel within the George area and hold a valid driver's license.
• Familiarity with telecom technologies and ability to interpret diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot telecommunications equipment including routers, modems, and fiber optic cables.
• Perform routine maintenance and diagnostic checks in the field.
• Respond to service calls and resolve technical issues to meet service level agreements.
• Document all work performed and provide basic end-user training when needed.
