Job summary

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Technical Support Manager to lead the Mechanical Cutting (Flameproof) equipment portfolio. You will drive technical leadership, support across the lifecycle, and coordinate investigations, improvements, and new product introductions in underground mining environments.

You will translate field data into actionable steps to boost reliability, availability and productivity, while collaborating with customers, service, sales and engineering teams to deliver value.

Qualifications

• English proficiency required.
• Strong experience with underground mining equipment, preferably coal mining or Mechanical Cutting.
• Experience in technical support, field service, engineering or product support in mining.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Technical Support team and strategy for Mechanical Cutting equipment, resolving complex issues and coaching teams.
• Monitor fleet performance, analyse failure trends, coordinate investigations and improvement actions.
• Engage customers on technical matters and provide safe, cost-effective recommendations.
• Coordinate product improvements and trials, validate effectiveness under field conditions.
• Support new product introductions and ensure documentation complies with Sandvik standards.
