Job summary

ESG Recruitment Limited is seeking a technically skilled sales professional to expand an active customer base in the instrumentation and control valve sector in Gauteng. The role involves supporting the sales team, supervising internal staff, and delivering proactive customer engagement.

You will work closely with internal and external teams to meet quotas, negotiate pricing, and provide monthly forecasts and reports. Prior experience in technical sales and valve applications is preferred.

Qualifications

• N4 Instrumentation qualification is required.
• Instrumentation Mechanician Trade Certificate is required.
• Proven experience with control valves and their applications.
• Knowledge of PER and PED regulations is essential.
• Familiarity with SHEQ systems and safety practices is required.
• Experience using control valve sizing programmes is beneficial.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings and customer requirements.
• Strong technical and sales capabilities in a technical sales environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain an active customer base for sales support.
• Supervise and manage internal sales staff.
• Provide internal sales support to meet quotas for a territory.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external sales to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Support the Sales Executive and General Manager as needed.
• Apply sales skills to negotiate pricing and capitalize on opportunities.
• Maintain proactive communication with existing and prospective customers.
• Prepare quotations based on tenders and enquiries.
• Provide monthly sales forecasts for local and export accounts.
• Provide monthly sales, invoice and quotation reports.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and identify new opportunities.
