Job summary

Smith Garb And Associates Cc in Pretoria is seeking an External Technical Sales Rep to drive sales of premium tool solutions for surface work from the Pretoria East branch. You will report to the Branch Manager and be responsible for growing sales, improving productivity and maintaining strong customer relations in the Pretoria area.

The ideal candidate has Matric/NTC3 and at least 5+ years of technical sales experience selling consumables and tools to industrial markets, with a proven auditable

Qualifications

• Matric/NTC3 is essential.
• Minimum 5+ years proven technical sales experience in consumables/tools.
• Experience selling to Industrial (Steel) markets.
• Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
• Willing to travel one to two nights per month.

Are you an External Technical Sales Rep looking for an opportunity in Pretoria? Our client, a manufacturer of premium high quality tool solutions for work on surfaces has an exciting opportunity for a suitable candidate for their Pretoria East branch. Report directly to the Branch Manager and be responsible for the sales of the company’s products, improvement of productivity and customer activity as well as promoting the company’s image, quality and services in and around the Pretoria area.
A completed Matric / NTC3 is essential coupled with a minimum of 5+ years proven Technical Sales experience with the focus of selling of consumable products including tools to the Industrial (Steel) markets essential. Proven auditable sales track record, target and number driven with a demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales goals. Formal sales training or qualification is a distinct advantage; technically orientated person; must be able to deal with complaints, objections and deliver solutions. Sales of company’s product, achievement of forecasts / sales targets. Valid driver's license; must display responsibility and suitability for the role; South African citizenship required; strong customer relations experience, with solid communication and interpersonal skills.; proficient in CRM systems and computer literate (MS Office suite, in particular strong Excel skills); Top-tier product sales experience, ideally with premium brands with a willingness to travel for business, including spending one or two nights away per month on country trips.
