Varied role with customer engagement

The role requires a solid sales background, commercial awareness and interest in technical products, with on-site work and travel involved.

Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years' sales experience, preferably in technical/industrial/manufacturing environments.
Experience in B2B sales and managing customer accounts.
Track record of meeting sales targets and building customer relationships.
Experience preparing quotations and understanding customer specifications.
Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Good organisational skills and ability to work independently.
Diploma in Sales/Marketing/Business Management/Engineering preferred; foam product/ERP/CRM familiarity advantageous.

Identify new business opportunities and grow existing customer accounts.
Conduct customer visits, present products and work toward sales targets.
Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and follow up on proposals.
Understand customer applications and recommend suitable foam products.
Develop product knowledge on foam properties and manufacturing capabilities.
Coordinate with technical and production teams on customised products.
Build relationships with buyers, engineers and decision-makers.
Respond to enquiries, follow up orders and assist with complaints.
Coordinate with production, planning, quality and dispatch to meet delivery expectations.
Maintain accurate customer records, quotations and CRM data.
Monitor competitor activity and identify market opportunities.
