Job summary

Objective Personnel invites applications for an experienced external sales professional in Gauteng. The role focuses on identifying and qualifying potential clients, generating leads, and building a robust pipeline through cold calling, networking, and research.

You will conduct meetings, present solutions, and close deals while nurturing long-term client relationships. You should have 5+ years in technical sales, fluent English, and strong self-management skills.

Qualifications

• Matric / Senior Certificate is required.
• Proficient computer literacy.
• Self-driven and motivated with stable employment history.
• 5+ years external sales experience in technical/industrial markets.
• Fluent in English; Afrikaans or Zulu is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify potential clients via cold calling, networking events, and online research.
• Generate leads and build a robust sales pipeline for the territory.
• Conduct face-to-face meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations with prospects.
• Understand client needs and recommend appropriate products or services.
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships with regular communication and follow-ups.
• Negotiate terms and close sales with win-win outcomes.
• Provide quotes, proposals, and contracts to prospects.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitors and market conditions.
• Collaborate with marketing, product development, and support teams.
• Assist with branch stocktakes and after-hours if required.
