Job summary

Objective Personnel invites applications for an experienced external sales professional in Gauteng. The role focuses on identifying and qualifying potential clients, generating leads, and building a robust pipeline through cold calling, networking, and research.

You will conduct meetings, present solutions, and close deals while nurturing long-term client relationships. You should have 5+ years in technical sales, fluent English, and strong self-management skills.

Qualifications

• Matric / Senior Certificate is required.
• Proficient computer literacy.

• 5+ years external sales experience in technical/industrial markets.
• Fluent in English; Afrikaans or Zulu is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Duties

• Conduct face-to-face meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations with potential clients.
• Understand client needs and recommend appropriate products or services to meet those needs.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients through regular communication and follow-ups.
• Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements, ensuring a win-win situation for both the client and the company.
• Provide accurate and timely price quotes, proposals, and contracts to prospective clients.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
• Analyse market data to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry changes.
• Work closely with internal teams, such as marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure seamless communication and effective problem resolution.
• Assist with all branch stocktakes. If required after hours.
• Keep detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance and achievements.
• Set and achieve sales targets as outlined by the company.
• Continuously strive to exceed sales goals and contribute to the overall growth of the organization.
• Develop a strategic plan for regular outreach to potential and existing clients.
• Create a weekly or monthly schedule outlining the timing and frequency of client calls.
