Job summary

Optimi Learning in Centurion seeks a detail-oriented Technical Support Assistant to join our team. The role includes completing an accredited 12-month qualification and providing system support across departments in a dynamic tech environment.

The candidate will diagnose problems, work with analysts and devops, and help upskill operational teams. 25 hours per week on-site, with potential to develop skills in reporting and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or final year in IT, Engineering or related field (with limited subjects in 2027).
• Proficient in MS Excel, SQL Server, MS Word & MS Projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be detail-orientated and analytical.
• Must not have previously participated in an internship programme.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose system related problems and escalate when needed.
• Support departments with system-related queries.
• Provide ongoing support on project solutions to operational teams.
• Collaborate with business analysts, devops and developers to resolve issues.
• Identify areas for project requirements to address ongoing issues.
• Identify upskilling needs of operational teams and training of champions.
• Provide reporting on trends and productivity.
• Assist with report creation, interpretation and restructuring of data.
• Prioritize tasks and apply systematic problem solving.
• Coordinate resources within the team to resolve issues effectively.
