Job summary

BCXP is seeking a Tech Officer: Jnr Customer Engineer (FS) to provide routine hardware service and remote diagnostics under supervision. You will work to meet contract service levels with clients, using CMDB and standard procedures.

Responsibilities include configuring hardware/software, supporting technicians remotely, and ensuring adherence to SLAs. Travel locally as required and maintain high service quality in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• NQF 4: Grade 12 national diploma required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience attending to and installing hardware solutions in a retail environment.
• Certifications: CompTIA and Linux (LPIC/LINUX+); MCSA/MCSE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain CMDB and hardware/software configurations per instructions.
• Perform full range of hardware and software installation and troubleshooting tasks.
• Ensure tasks meet agreed service levels and procedures.
• Follow installation plans and verify items align with instructions.
• Install/remove hardware & software per standard procedures and plans.
• Assist colleagues remotely via tools like remedy and provide telephonic support.
• Drive SLA adherence and service quality.
