Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking a dedicated Tax Secretary to join their dynamic team in Gauteng. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialized department while utilizing your legal secretarial expertise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare pre-bills and billing memos for client invoicing
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to legal professionals including diary management and telephone coverage
- Copy-type complex legal documents including legal opinions and correspondence
- Draft standard form documents such as engagement letters
- Incorporate amendments to legal documentation
- Manage client files and maintain organized filing systems
- Handle general office and personal administration duties
- Collaborate with accounts department on debtor management
- Administer FICA requirements and ensure compliance completion
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 3+ years experience as a legal secretary
- Expert-level proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Secretarial/Legal Secretarial diploma or Paralegal qualification (advantageous)
- Experience with Aderant Expert (CMS) accounting system (advantageous)
- Knowledge of FileSite document management (advantageous)
