Job summary

Hexagon Mining seeks a Support Engineer to deploy, support, and optimise critical mining technology systems, ensuring high availability and reliability across on-premise and cloud environments.

You will provide onsite and remote technical support, troubleshoot complex multi-system environments, and collaborate with customers, engineering and product teams to deliver measurable improvements and documented outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years in industrial/mining technology or IoT platforms.
• Experience managing Linux/Windows Server environments.
• Strong scripting (Bash/Python/Perl) and databases experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and configure on‑premise and cloud architectures (Linux/Windows).
• Maintain system performance, availability and capacity across distributed environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking and database issues in production.
• Participate in 24/7 on‑call support and lead root cause analyses (RCA).
• Create and maintain technical documentation and change management records.
• Analyse data, generate KPIs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
