Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Remote Production Planner to manage manufacturing schedules from anywhere in a fully remote setup. You will develop detailed production plans, monitor progress, and adjust to meet demand while optimizing resources.

The role supports operations nationwide, including Richards Bay, with emphasis on collaboration across procurement, logistics and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in SCM or related field, 4+ years of production

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in SCM, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field.
At least 4 years of experience in production planning or scheduling within manufacturing.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel for data analysis and forecasting.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities with strong problem-solving aptitude.
Demonstrated experience working effectively in a remote setting using collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and execute detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts and resource availability.
Monitor production progress against plan and address deviations or delays.
Coordinate with procurement, logistics and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth material flow.
Optimize production sequences and resource utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
Communicate production status, risks and solutions to management and teams.
Maintain accurate production planning data within the ERP system.
