Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Production Planner to join their operations team in a remote capacity, coordinating with sales, production and procurement to optimize schedules and material flow from Upington to national coverage.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s in a related field, proven planning experience in manufacturing, strong analytical skills and proficiency with ERP/MRP systems to balance demand with capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Proven experience in a production planning role within manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of planning principles and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate production schedules based on forecasts, priorities, and resources.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed to address changes.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely raw materials availability.
• Coordinate with production supervisors to optimize line efficiency and throughput.
• Analyze inventory levels and coordinate with teams to manage stock.
• Communicate production status and delays to stakeholders.
