Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Remote Production Planning Specialist to create and optimize production schedules from a remote location in Soweto. You will coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics to secure materials and maintain efficient workflows, while monitoring progress and adjusting plans as needed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in operations, supply chain, business, or related field.
- Proven experience in production planning, scheduling or similar roles in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of production processes, capacity planning and inventory management.
- Proficiency with MRP/ERP and production planning software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration for remote work.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts and resource availability.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics to ensure material availability and smooth workflow.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules for changes or disruptions.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Manage inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods in relation to production plans.
- Communicate production status, issues, and plans to stakeholders.
