Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management within mining operations.
• Experience managing projects with budgets over R7 million in a mining context.
• Knowledge of mining operations, processes, and equipment.
• PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects focused on improving mining operational efficiency, safety, and productivity.
• Identify project opportunities through operational assessments and data analysis.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Manage cross-functional project teams, including engineers, geologists, operators, and external consultants.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations specific to mining.
• Oversee the implementation of new technologies and operational processes.
• Manage project risks and mitigation strategies; ensure timely issue resolution.
• Track project progress, KPIs, and report to senior management.
• Facilitate change management processes for successful adoption by operational teams.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors/contractors.
