Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to oversee critical mining projects in Rustenburg. You will drive safety, efficiency and operational improvements across sites, manage lifecycles from concept to completion, and align initiatives with business objectives.

The role requires a Mining/Mechanical Engineering degree and 7+ years of mining PM experience, including capital projects. You will coordinate internal teams and contractors, monitor progress, and report to senior management,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management experience in mining.
• Experience managing capital expenditure projects.
• Strong understanding of mining processes, equipment and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor project progress, identifying and resolving deviations from the plan.
• Ensure all projects adhere to stringent health, safety, and environmental standards within the mining context.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a significant portion within the mining industry.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects, including capital expenditure projects.
• Strong understanding of mining processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Experience with project management software such as MS Project.
