Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager for Mahikeng to oversee critical mining operations projects, including development, equipment upgrades, and safety improvements. You will lead end-to-end delivery, ensuring on-time, on-budget execution with strict regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in mining PM, strong leadership and stakeholder skills, and experience with mining-specific software and procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with a significant portion in the mining industry.
• Proven track record managing operational projects, infrastructure development, or equipment installation in a mining context.
• Strong understanding of mining processes, safety regulations, and environmental compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Experience with project management software and familiarity with mining-specific operational software.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and closure of mining operations projects.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, resource requirements, and budgets.
• Manage project teams including engineers, geologists, technicians, contractors, and site personnel.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental regulations throughout all project phases.
• Oversee procurement, contract management, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor progress, site inspections, and reporting to senior management.
