Placements24 is seeking an experienced Buyer specializing in Indirect Materials to join their Durban procurement team. Manage purchasing of non-production goods and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and continuity.

We seek a candidate with 3–5 years in indirect procurement, strong negotiation and supplier management skills, and proficiency in MS Office and procurement systems. Durban-based role with growth opportunities in a stable work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field required.
• 3–5 years experience in buyer/procurement focusing on indirect spend.
• Proven negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Strong understanding of procurement best practices and contract terms.
• Proficient in MS Office and procurement systems.

Responsabilités

• Procure indirect goods and services (MRO, office, IT hardware/software).
• Source new and manage existing supplier relationships to meet SLAs.
• Conduct cost analysis and identify savings via strategic sourcing and negotiation.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders with accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement with business needs.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance for best value.
