Placements24 is seeking a proactive Senior Buyer to lead indirect procurement for a diversified industrial conglomerate. This fully remote role supports operations across Durban, KwaZulu-Natal from anywhere in South Africa.

The candidate will source IT, marketing, professional services, and facilities management, drive negotiations, manage supplier relationships, and improve procurement processes in a global team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement with focus on indirect spend.
• Proven negotiation and contract management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers with policy and quality compliance.
• Lead negotiations to achieve optimal pricing, terms and service levels.
• Manage supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews, and resolve issues.
• Analyze spend patterns and market intelligence to identify cost savings.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and services and resolve supply disruptions.
• Maintain records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier data.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems.
• Support development and implementation of procurement best practices.
