Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior HR Advisor to provide strategic guidance and support to management and staff in Paarl, Western Cape. This pivotal role involves developing and implementing HR strategies that enhance performance and engagement, and leading complex employee relations cases.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in HRM or related field, 8+ years in HR advisory, deep knowledge of SA labour law, and strong influencing and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in HRM/Industrial Psychology or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in a senior HR advisory or generalist role.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor law and ER principles.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex employee relations and change management.
• Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and ability to influence decision-making.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert HR guidance to line managers on issues including employee relations, performance management, and legal compliance.
• Lead and manage complex disciplinary and grievance investigations and processes.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practice.
• Contribute to strategic workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning.
• Support organizational change initiatives and coach managers and employees.
• Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and propose proactive solutions.
