Placements24 is seeking a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, ZA. You will lead the FP&A function, drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, and partner with executives to shape the financial strategy.

The role requires an MBA or related master's, 10 years of FP&A/finance experience with 3 in leadership, and expertise in financial modeling, ERP systems (Hyperion, Anaplan). A hybrid work model supports collaboration with distributed teams.

Qualifications

• MBA or master’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics, or CA/CPA.
• At least 10 years in FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance roles, with 3+ years in leadership.
• Proven FP&A strategy development in financial services.
• Expertise in financial modeling and forecasting; strong data analysis.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with Hyperion, Anaplan, and other FP&A tools.
• Ability to lead a distributed hybrid team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the FP&A function, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
• Develop and refine financial models to support business objectives and decision-making.
• Analyze financial performance, identifying key drivers of variance and providing actionable recommendations.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports, board materials, and executive summaries.
• Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand their financial needs and provide strategic support.
• Drive efficiency and effectiveness in financial processes through best practices and technology.
• Mentor and develop a team of talented financial analysts.
• Monitor economic trends and competitive landscape, advising on potential impacts to financial strategy.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all financial forecasts and plans.
• Present financial insights and recommendations to the executive management team and board of directors.
