Job summary

Talent Candey is assisting a QSR/Retail client in Durban to recruit an Accountant who will provide financial analysis and business insights across multiple entities from head office. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, monthly management reporting, and inter‑company accounting.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of accounting experience, ERP exposure (Sage 200), and advanced Excel skills, with advantageous SAIPA/CIMA studies.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related qualification.
• SAIPA / CIMA studies (advantageous).
• 2–5 years' experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role.
• Experience in Retail, FMCG or QSR environment is advantageous.
• Experience managing multiple entities.
• Strong experience with inter‑company accounts.
• Experience with monthly management reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis.
• Experience using Sage 200 or similar ERP system.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Perform detailed variance analysis and provide commentary on financial performance.
• Assist with annual budgets and regular forecasts.
• Analyse operational and financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Manage financial reporting across approximately 5–6 entities.
• Reconcile and maintain inter‑company accounts.
• Partner with operational managers to provide financial guidance and commercial insights.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management.
• Support month-end and year-end reporting processes.
• Ensure financial information is accurate and submitted within deadlines.
• Assist in improving financial processes and reporting efficiencies.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.
