Job summary

Old Mutual Limited in Cape Town is seeking a proactive Management Accountant to join our finance team. You will provide financial insight through budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and performance reporting to support operational decision-making across business units.

The role requires a professional qualification (CIMA/CMA desirable) and at least 4 years in management accounting or financial analysis, with advanced Excel and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; professional qualification (CIMA/CMA) desirable.
• Minimum 4 years of management accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and cost accounting knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP Business One).
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Effective communication and presentation skills for non-finance audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads.
• Prepare management reports with variance analysis, profitability, and KPIs.
• Conduct cost accounting, analyze production costs and overhead variances.
• Support financial systems and controls implementation and maintenance.
• Provide financial modeling and analysis for new initiatives.
• Ensure timely and accurate internal financial reporting.
