Job summary

Cashbuild in Bloemfontein is looking for a General Assistant for internal applications only. You will handle customer service in-store, assist with merchandising, stock labeling, and maintaining tidy shelves within your area.

The role requires basic math, English communication, and the ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. A valid SA ID or work permit is necessary, with Grade 10/NQF3 or Grade 12 and related experience as alternatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 with 1 year related experience.
• Grade 12 without related work experience.
• English communication and dominant local language requirement.
• Valid South African ID or work permit.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Will be willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Advise and assist Customers on correct products and queries.
• Assist with and resolve Customer complaints
• Bulk stock area to be merchandised safely and according to Store layout plan
• Must ensure your area of responsibility is fully merchandised according to Store layout and planograms.
• Ensure area is free of obstacles and safe for customers entering and leaving aisles.
• Correct shelf price labelling within area of responsibility.
• Ensure daily checklists aligned with canteen and toilet/showers schedule.
• Follow OHSA safety requirements in area of responsibility.
• Report stock discrepancies and damaged stock to Store Manager.
