Job summary

Clicks Group is seeking an experienced Store Manager in Ceres to lead store operations, drive sales and ensure excellent service, compliance and brand presentation. You will manage staffing, budgeting, stock controls and customer initiatives in a busy FMCG retail environment.

The role requires a proven leadership record, strong financial acumen and the ability to drive a high-performing team to meet targets and deliver a premium customer experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a store management role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment with annual turnover of at least R50 million.
• Extensive people management experience of a large and diverse workforce.
• Financial management experience (budgets, profit and loss statements, financial ratios, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Drive and maximize store sales; track daily, weekly and monthly targets.
• Manage all operational activities including expenses, stock, shrinkage and admin.
• Oversee in-store visual merchandising and brand presentation standards.
• Lead, develop and schedule staff to meet business needs.
• Ensure weekly time and attendance and HR records are completed.
• Execute customer service initiatives to enhance loyalty and club card participation.
• Foster relationships with centre managers, suppliers and distribution centers.
• Monitor customer trends and competitor activity to capitalise on opportunities.
• Coordinate store, pharmacy and clinic teams for cohesive operation.
• Support a high performing culture aligned with the company values.
• Contribute to the vision of Clicks Group as the preferred health and beauty retailer.
