Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a store management role in retail/FMCG.
• Experience with stores turnover of at least R50 million annually.
• Extensive people management of a large and diverse workforce.
• Financial management experience (budgets, P&L, financial ratios).
• Strong understanding of merchandising, promotions and stock control.
• Knowledge of labour legislation and IR practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive and maximise sales; track daily/weekly/monthly targets and act quickly.
• Manage all store operations: expenses, stock, shrinkage, admin and housekeeping.
• Execute in-store merchandising and promotional standards aligned with brand image.
• Lead and develop employees to build capacity for current and future needs.
• Schedule staff per labour policy to ensure adequate coverage.
• Complete weekly time/attendance and HR records efficiently.
• Implement customer service initiatives to boost loyalty and club card uptake.
• Maintain relationships with centre managers, suppliers and DCs.
• Monitor customer trends and competitors to capitalise on opportunities.
• Drive cohesion between store operations, pharmacy and clinic teams.
• Foster a high-performing culture delivering employee engagement and shareholder value.
• Support the Group’s vision to be the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer.
