Job summary

Kawari Wholesaler in Midrand is seeking a Stock Clerk to manage put-away and replenishment of stock in the warehouse according to SOPs and FIFO/FEFO principles.

This role emphasizes stock integrity, adherence to GWDP, and supporting cycle counts and ad hoc tasks while maintaining conflict-free teamwork under pressure.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• Assistant Basic within a pharmaceutical wholesaler is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily operations comply with SOPs and Good Warehousing practices.
• Adhere to housekeeping and GWDP.
• Follow FIFO/FEFO and report soon-to-expire stock.
• Put away received stock per SOPs and GWDP.
• Replenish stock per SOPs and GWDP.
• Handle stock to prevent damage and report issues to the warehouse manager.
• Assist with stock investigations and removal of expired/damaged stock.
• Participate in regular cycle counts and annual stock take.
• Handle ad hoc tasks as instructed by the line manager.
• Prioritise large workloads and maintain policies under pressure.

Job description

An exciting career opportunity exists at Kawari Wholesaler for a Stock Clerk in the warehouse; this position is based in Midrand. This role will be responsible for put away and replenishment of stock (Wholesale and Distribution) according to written SOPs and Maintaining of stock in the warehouse according to (FIFO/FEFO).

Job Functions:

• Ensure that all your daily functions and operations comply to KDC’s written SOPs, Good Warehousing and Distribution Practices, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and KDC’s Quality Management System.
• Adherence to good housekeeping practises.
• Adherence to FIFO/FEFO, and reporting of soon to expired stock to relevant supervisor.
• Put away received stock according to company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and comply with Good Wholesaling and Distribution Practices (GWDP).
• Replenishment of stock in the warehouse according to company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and comply with Good Wholesaling and Distribution Practices (GWDP).
• Handling of stock during the put-away and replenishment process to eliminate damages and report any such damages immediately to the warehouse manager.
• Assist with stock investigations.
• Assist with removal of expired stock, recalled stock and damaged stock from warehouse shelfs.
• Any other task as requested by Warehouse manager or Supervisor, within employee’s scope of employment.
• Participate in regular cycle counts and annual stock take.
• Any ad hoc functions as instructed by line manager.
• Ability to prioritise large work load.
• Ability to maintain policy guideline within pressured situations.
• Ability to accept and take charge of projects allocated on short notice with strict timelines / deadlines.
