Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Sports Facility Operations Manager to oversee a premier Centurion venue. You will drive day-to-day operations, ensure safety, manage budgets, and lead a team of operations staff to deliver exceptional experiences for athletes, spectators, and event organizers.

The role demands proactive leadership, strong vendor relations, and a proven track record in facility management within the Leisure & Sports sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and minimum 5 years in facility operations.
• Proven budget, staff, and contractor management experience.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations for public venues.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facility operations including maintenance, security, and cleanliness.
• Manage event scheduling, setup, and execution with client satisfaction in mind.
• Supervise and train operations staff such as janitorial, security, and maintenance personnel.
• Develop and manage operational budgets, controlling costs and optimizing resources.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and emergency protocols per regulations.
• Manage vendor relationships with contractors for maintenance, catering, and events.
• Coordinate with leagues, organizers, and community groups to meet venue needs.
• Conduct regular facility inspections and address issues proactively.
• Maintain accurate records of operations, incidents, and equipment maintenance.
• Contribute to strategic planning for facility upgrades within Leisure & Sports.
