Placements24 seeks a Leisure & Sports Facilities Manager to oversee operations at a Centurion venue. You will manage teams, budgets, maintenance schedules and safety compliance, ensuring top-tier service for members and visitors.

The role requires a hands-on leader with a passion for leisure and sports, driving continuous improvement and exceptional guest experiences in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Facility Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience managing leisure or sports facilities with a proven track record.
• Strong knowledge of facility maintenance, health and safety regulations, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated financial acumen and budget management experience.
• Proficiency in using facility management software and standard office applications.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of all leisure and sports facilities, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and safety.
• Manage and lead a team of facility staff, including supervisors, maintenance personnel, and customer service representatives.
• Develop and implement operational procedures, maintenance schedules, and safety protocols.
• Manage the facility budget, including forecasting, cost control, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Oversee maintenance and repair activities, coordinating with external contractors when necessary.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance member experience and facility utilization.
• Manage inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Organize and supervise sports events, leagues, and other activities hosted at the facility.
• Monitor facility usage and implement measures to optimize capacity and revenue.
