Placements24 is seeking a Senior Sports Facility Manager for a premier sports complex in Midrand, Gauteng. You will oversee daily operations, maintenance, and strategic development of all facilities to deliver exceptional experiences for athletes, members, and the community.

The role blends hands-on leadership with strategic planning, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing budgets, and leading a team of staff and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Facility Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in sports facility management.
• Experience managing budgets, P&L statements, and operating costs.
• Strong knowledge of facility operations, safety standards.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in facility management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive operational plans for all sports facilities, including scheduling, maintenance, and resource allocation.
• Oversee daily operations of the sports complex, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and upkeep.
• Manage budgets, control expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety.
• Supervise and lead a team of facility staff, providing guidance and fostering a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, enforcing policies and procedures.
• Plan and manage event logistics for tournaments, leagues, and special events.
• Liaise with stakeholders to meet facility needs.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
• Monitor facility usage and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.
