Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Sports Facility Operations Manager for our flagship venue in Rustenburg, North West. The role requires hands-on leadership to ensure smooth daily operations, safety, and exceptional user experiences for athletes and clubs.

You will manage staff, coordinate maintenance and bookings, oversee budgets, and drive high standards of service in a dynamic community hub. This position rewards proactive problem-solvers with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in facility management or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in facility operations management.
• Experience supervising staff and managing budgets.
• Strong knowledge of turf maintenance and safety protocols.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and facility software.
• Strong communication with diverse stakeholders.
• First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the sports facility to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Lead and schedule facility staff including groundskeepers and maintenance teams.
• Develop policies to improve efficiency and user satisfaction.
• Coordinate bookings for events, leagues, training, and community functions.
• Ensure sports equipment is well-maintained and safe.
• Manage the facility budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Oversee maintenance of surfaces, grounds, and infrastructure.
• Enforce health and safety regulations with regular risk assessments.
• Serve as primary contact for facility users and resolve inquiries.
• Liaise with external contractors and vendors for specialized services.
