Placements24 is seeking a Specialist Recruiter to focus on Manufacturing and Operations in Mahikeng and the North West region. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle—from client understanding to sourcing, interviewing and placing candidates in roles such as production managers, engineers and quality controllers.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in recruitment, strong manufacturing knowledge, and excellent relationship-building skills.

About the Role

Our client, a well-established recruitment consultancy based in Mahikeng, North West , is actively seeking a Specialist Recruiter to focus on the Manufacturing and Operations sectors. This role is crucial for identifying and attracting skilled professionals and operational talent for a diverse range of clients within the region. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from understanding client needs to sourcing, interviewing, and placing candidates in roles such as production managers, engineers, quality controllers, supply chain specialists, and skilled trades. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, excellent relationship-building skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality recruitment solutions within the North West province.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and interview candidates for a variety of manufacturing and operations roles, including production supervisors, process engineers, quality assurance personnel, logistics coordinators, and skilled factory workers, serving clients in and around Mahikeng, North West .
• Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates, including passive candidates with relevant industry experience.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients in the manufacturing and logistics sectors.
• Conduct detailed needs assessments with clients to fully understand their operational requirements, company culture, and specific talent gaps.
• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from initial client engagement and candidate sourcing to offer negotiation and successful placement.
• Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices within the manufacturing and operations sectors in the North West region.
• Utilize recruitment databases, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and professional networking platforms to manage candidate pipelines and recruitment activities efficiently.
• Ensure a high-quality candidate experience by providing clear communication, professional guidance, and timely feedback throughout the process.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment, with a proven track record in sourcing for Manufacturing and Operations roles.
• A good understanding of manufacturing processes, operational environments, and common skill sets required in these industries.
• Excellent interviewing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and candidates.
• Proficiency in using recruitment software and platforms.
