Job summary

Placements24 is partnering with a dedicated educational facility in Klerksdorp to recruit a Special Needs Educator. You will develop and implement tailored educational programs, deliver inclusive instruction, and work with a multidisciplinary team to address individual needs and promote independence.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Special Needs Education, teaching registration, at least 3 years' experience with diverse needs, and strong communication, empathy and creativity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Needs Education with specialization.
• Teaching registration with the relevant educational body.
• Minimum 3 years' experience with learners with diverse needs (e.g., learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities).
• Proficiency in differentiated instruction and use of assistive technologies.
• Excellent communication, empathy and problem-solving skills.
• Patience, creativity and a genuine passion for supporting learners with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student.
• Deliver specialized instruction with various methods and adaptive resources.
• Assess progress and adjust instructional strategies.
• Collaborate with parents, therapists, and support staff.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
