Placements24 seeks a compassionate Early Childhood Teacher specialized in Special Needs to join our inclusive education team in Soweto. You will design and implement tailored educational programs for young children with diverse learning needs, working with therapists, parents, and educators to promote inclusive, child-centered development.

The role requires a qualification in Early Childhood Education with Special Needs, experience with disabilities, and strong observation and communication

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education with a specialization in Special Needs education.
• Proven experience with young children with disabilities or developmental delays.
• Deep understanding of special education methodologies, milestones, and inclusive practices.
• Excellent observation, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving abilities.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver IEPs and lesson strategies for children with special needs.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom that accommodates diverse learning styles.
• Utilize specialized teaching methods and adaptive resources to facilitate learning.
• Collaborate with therapists and parents to support each child's progress.
• Observe, assess and document developmental progress and adjust plans.
• Maintain open communication with parents and provide guidance on needs and progress.
