Job summary

Placements24 in Centurion is seeking a compassionate Special Needs Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. You will develop and implement IEPs and deliver tailored instruction to help each child reach their potential.

You will collaborate with therapists, specialists, and families to create a holistic support plan, monitor progress with regular assessments, and maintain records. A commitment to inclusive education and patient, empathetic communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher status with a specialization in Special Needs Education.
• Experience with children across disabilities (e.g., autism).
• Strong knowledge of curriculum adaptation and assistive technologies.
• Excellent communication, empathy and patience with students and families.
• Therapeutic approaches certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide specialized instruction and support tailored to the unique learning styles and abilities of each student.
• Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate effectively with parents, guardians, and other professionals to create a cohesive support network.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and progress towards IEP goals.
