Placements24 is seeking a Real Estate Acquisition Specialist to identify and secure properties in Soweto and surrounding areas, contributing to affordable housing initiatives. You will source opportunities, perform initial assessments, negotiate terms, and guide deals through closing.

The role requires strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, willingness to travel within Gauteng, and a deep understanding of the local market dynamics to support community development goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in real estate acquisition or related sales.
• Strong ability to identify and analyze real estate investment opportunities.
• Understanding of the Soweto property market including residential and potential commercial sectors.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel within the Gauteng province.

Responsibilities

• Identifying off-market and on-market acquisition opportunities within Soweto.
• Building relationships with property owners, real estate agents, and community stakeholders.
• Conducting preliminary property evaluations, including site visits and initial assessments.
• Researching property values, market conditions, and comparable sales data.
• Preparing and presenting acquisition proposals to the investment committee.
• Negotiating purchase terms and structuring real estate deals.
• Managing the due diligence process for acquired properties.
• Coordinating with legal teams and closing agents to ensure smooth transactions.
• Maintaining a database of potential acquisition targets and deal progress.
