Placements24 seeks a detail-oriented Solar PV Design Engineer to join our Klerksdorp team. You will lead the complete design of photovoltaic systems from site assessments to construction documentation, contributing to renewable energy projects across the North West province.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years in PV design, and strong knowledge of PV components, system configurations, and electrical principles. Local building codes are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar PV system design.
Proficiency with solar design software: PVSyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

Design and engineer grid-tied and off-grid PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
Develop detailed electrical single-line diagrams, site plans, and equipment specifications.
Conduct site assessments, energy production modeling, and system performance analyses.
Ensure designs comply with electrical codes, standards, and interconnection requirements.
Collaborate with installation teams and project managers to ensure successful project implementation.
